"The Central Labor Council of Alameda County [California] was the first
CLC to adopt an anti-war resolution,
followed in the next weeks by the OPEIU Local 29, Berkeley Teachers' Local 1078,
AFSCME Local 1695,
the Oakland Federation of Teachers, [and the] Amalgamated Clothing and Textile
Workers' Local 42.
